Terms and Conditions

Confidentiality
Although the counselling sessions are confidential, I/we reserve the right to break confidentiality in the following circumstances:

  • As part of ongoing professional development of our counsellors, they receive regular supervision sessions. During these sessions, client work is discussed. However, to maintain confidentiality, you will not be identified by your name or by any other information that you may be recognised by.
  • If you provide any information that indicated you are an immediate threat to yourself or anyone else, I/we reserve the right to contact the emergency services after discussing this course of action with you.
  • If you are under the age of 18, parental consent to therapy may be required.
  • If you provide any information that indicates you are committing an act of terrorism, money laundering or drug trafficking, I/we are legally bound to inform the police without discussing this with you first.
Online & telephone Counselling Sessions
  • Sessions will take place at a pre-arranged time and will last for one hour. Payment for each session must be received before counselling can take place.
  • Sessions that are cancelled by the client with less than 24 hours notice will still be charged for.
  • Sessions that are cancelled for any reason by the therapist will not incur any charges and if a suitable alternative appointment cannot be arranged, then any monies paid by the client will be returned to them.
  • Fees for online, telephone and email counselling are currently £25 per session or email and are payable in advance of counselling sessions via the Paypal link on the website.
Termination
  • Online, telephone and email counselling may be terminated at any time by the client with no prior notice (other than 24 hours for pre-booked sessions).
  • I/we reserve the right to terminate counselling and prosecute if necessary should any threats or acts of violence be made against any therapist by a client or client's associate, including damage caused to property.
