About us

The thought of counselling can be very daunting for some.

You may be wondering what it will be like, what the counsellor will be like, whether you will know what to say - all sorts of questions running through your mind! To help with these anxieties that most people have , We offer a free assessment, which is really a meeting where you have the chance to ask any questions that you may have and to get a feel of what counselling will be like, what it can help with and what it can't.

If you then decide that you would like to continue, we can look at further appointments at a convenient time to you.

Emily Criddle Dip Couns. Dip Psych. MBABCP
Following a chain of life events that led me into this profession, I gained a diploma in Counselling along with a HND in Psychology and Cognitive Therapy from Oxford and I am a member of and recommended by the Complementary Medical Association. I am fully insured, CCC registered and adhere to a strict code of ethics as set out by the BACP and Counselling Society.

My approach to counselling is eclectic, utilising different approaches that are tailored to each individual client’s needs and personality. These approaches are used to enable the client to explore their issues within a safe, accepting and non-judgmental environment and to give them the opportunity and direction to gain new perspectives on their lives and find productive new ways in dealing with these issues.
